We're a family-owned spice and seasoning shop with two locations, Franklin, TN and Huntsville, AL, and a whole lot of love for the food you make at home. Whether you're grilling on a Saturday afternoon, experimenting with a new weeknight recipe, or looking for the perfect gift for the cook in your life, we've got you covered.
Our Story
Franklin Spice Works started with a craving neither of us could satisfy. Years ago, Hollie was raising our kids at home and David was working in corporate America, and as our youngest neared school age, Hollie wanted to start something of her own. One night we were watching a cooking show, someone was making corned beef, and David said, out loud, that he wanted some. Hollie said she'd try.
The trouble was the spices. She tracked down the recipe but couldn't find everything she needed locally, the juniper berries especially. That small frustration, standing in our kitchen unable to buy a simple spice, was the seed of everything. A year later, we opened our doors in Franklin.
Today we hand-blend many of our seasonings, all in small batches, using clean, high-quality ingredients. No fillers, no mystery powders, no compromises. What began because one spice was impossible to find became a shop built so our neighbors would never have that problem.
And the corned beef? David finally made it himself, years later, with our own spices. Worth the wait.
